A client in EZY’s yellow satin mini dress with pearl trim

EZY Clothing. Dress your character.

“She didn’t wear yellow, she wore confidence.”

Bespoke couture, bridal and traditional wear, made by hand in Johannesburg.

We make clothes for the days people remember: weddings, matric dances, graduations, birthdays and ceremonies.

Every commission starts with a conversation and a sketch. It is then cut, draped, beaded and fitted by hand in our Johannesburg atelier, until it feels like it was always yours.

Bring a picture, a feeling or nothing at all. We’ll design it with you, and fit it to you.

The bride, and everyone beside her.

Wedding gowns, second looks for the reception, suits for the groom and gowns for the bridal party, designed together so the whole day tells one story.

Process that’s worth the wait.

Couture takes time. This is what happens between your first message and the moment you put it on.

  1. Hand-drawn sketch of an off-shoulder gown in brown tones

    Consultation and sketch

We talk through the occasion, your shape and how you want to feel, then sketch the design with you.

  2. Chalk pattern pieces drawn on brown paper, with scissors

    Pattern and cut

Your measurements become a paper pattern, drawn and cut by hand before any fabric is touched.

  3. The designer fitting a sage satin gown on a client in the atelier

    Draping and fittings

The garment is draped on the form and fitted on you, then adjusted until the line is right.

  4. Beading by hand

Pearls, crystals and sequins are stitched on one at a time. This is where the hours go.

  5. A client in her finished gown, covered in hand-applied floral embellishment

    The reveal

You put it on and see the sketch become yours.
